Grade a Wiki

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

Grades are assigned to the whole WIKI, rather than to individual contributions. If grading has been enabled, instructors can access a grading interface that feeds into the GRADE CENTER, from inside the wiki itself. Instructors can also make use of grading RUBRICS within wikis to facilitate the grading process, as well as detailed information regarding the specific changes each student has made to the wiki.

  1. Navigate to the wiki you would like to grade, and then click the Participation and Grading button on the right-hand side of the page.
  2. Click on a student’s name to see their wiki contributions. Alternatively you can click on All on the right-hand side of the page to expand the list and click on a student's name whose participation needs grading.

  1. Click Compare to Version (1) under User's Modifications to see the student's modifications. (The number displaying in "Compare to Version..." depends on the number of previous modifications).
  2. In the grading interface, assign a point value in the Grade field.
  3. If desired, provide feedback to the student. You can also attach a file including your feedback.
  4. If desired, provide grading notes, which are visible to all instructors and TAs.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. The assigned mark and any feedback will now be posted in the Grade area of the wiki, and in the Grade Center column associated with this wiki.

Students will only be able to see Wiki grades if the instructor makes the Grade Center column associated with the wiki visible to students.
