My Grades

Some instructors may choose to post assignment, test or other assessment marks in Blackboard. Student final marks will only be available in ROSI, you can use the My Grades feature in Blackboard to track your progress in each of your courses. There are different methods you can use to access your grades in Blackboard.

Access My Grades using the My Page tab

Log in to the Portal and ensure you are on the My Page tab. Then find the Tools module and click My Grades.

From the global navigation, select My Grades.

Access My Grades through a course page

Navigate to the course you want to work with. Then click on My Grades in the Course Menu.

If you don't see My Grades in the menu, click on Tools then click on My Grades.

Note: If you access MY Grades from within a course, you will see the grades for that course only.

 

View your grades

If you access My Grades from My Page or the global navigation, on the next page you will see a list of all graded items in all of your Blackboard courses. Use the tabs to filter the items:

  1. In the All Courses view, click on an item to see a breakdown of all of your grades in that class;
  2. In the Last Graded view, click on an item to see more details relating to that assessment, including comments and feedback and the course this item is associated with;

My Grades Page

If you access My Grades though your course page, you will see a list of your available marks for that course. Use the tabs to filter the list of grades:

  1. Click All to see every item;
  2. Click Graded to see only those items that have been graded;
  3. Click Upcoming to see assessments that are due soon;
  4. Click Submitted to see items that you have submitted and are awaiting grading;

Any item name that appears as a hyperlink can be clicked to review the submission history.

My Grades- Assignment

For test submissions you can click on the name of the item to see your attempt details and then you may click on your grade to review your test submission, the questions and the grade for each question, if enabled by the instructor.

Grade

Not every assessment will have a numerical grade. Instead some items may display icons. The following table describes the symbols appearing on My Grades page.

Symbol Description
- No submission attempt has been made.
Item is Completed Item is completed, but will not have a grade (for items such as surveys).
Item has been submitted

Item has been submitted. This item is waiting to be reviewed by your instructor.

-OR-

Item has been submitted. Your instructor may review this item but may not be provided a grade (for items such as surveys).

Grade Item has been graded. Click the grade to view detailed feedback.
Attempt is in progress Attempt is in progress. This item has not been submitted.
Grade is exempted Grade is exempted for this user. If you do not complete this assignment, it will not affect your grade.
Error Error has occurred. Contact your instructor.

 

View feedback for your assignment

The My Grades page may include any feedback provided by your instructor and also any files attached by you or your instructor. For example, your instructor might provide comments in a file that you submitted with your assignment.

If you see the feedback icon beside your grade you can click on the icon to see your instructor feedback and/or any files attached by your instructor.

Instructor's Feedback

Your instructor may want to annotate your submitted file directly within the browser using Inline Grading feature. Supported file types for Inline Grading include Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx), Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx), Microsoft Excel (.xls, .xlsx), and Adobe PDF (.pdf).

In order to view your instructor's notes on your file click the assignment's title.

On the next page you could view your grade, your submission, and your instructor's notes and feedback if provided.

Annotated Assignment

You can also:

  1. Navigate through your instructor's comments and markups if provided
  2. Navigate through your submitted file pages
  3. Download your submission and/or the annotated file including comments
  4. View your instructor's overal feedback if provided
